Verify a Certificate of Compliance
Every certificate issued through TradeFlow SA carries a QR code and a verification link. Anyone — a homeowner, attorney, estate agent or insurer — can use it to confirm the certificate is on record, free.
How to verify
Scan the QR code printed on the certificate PDF (or open the verification link next to it). You'll see the certificate number, type, property, issue date, and the registered person's details — matched against our register.
Why this exists
South Africa has a documented problem with fraudulent and pre-signed blank Certificates of Compliance. A certificate that can be publicly checked is worth more to everyone — the tradesperson who issued it, the client who paid for it, and the attorney who has to rely on it at property transfer.
No QR code on the document you were given? Then it wasn't issued through TradeFlow SA — this register can't speak for it either way.
